Town Plans for Oyster Pond News
The Town of Falmouth is developing a Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan (CWMP) for Oyster Pond to return it to a healthier ecosystem by limiting the amount of nitrogen entering the pond. The Town appointed Water Quality Management Committee (WQMC) is working with consultants to develop the CWMP. The Town has selected two treatment options for Oyster Pond – the Advanced Innovative Alternative Septics is the Preferred Plan and Sewers are the Traditional Backup Plan

Update to the Oyster Pond Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan
Last August the WQMC held a meeting for Oyster Pond residents and discussed two options for cleaning up Oyster Pond. Plan 1 required 189 dwelling units around the pond connect to low-pressure collection sewers. Plan 5 required 226 dwelling units to upgrade to an Advanced Innovative/Alternative septic system. [...]
